The Goa Bachao Abhiyan is a spontaneous people's mass movement organised to protect Goa and its resources, including biodiversity, for the future generations of its inhabitants. Its three-pronged demand is for 1) immediate withdrawal of the draconian and disastrous Regional Plan 2011 in its present form, 2) involvement of the stakeholders, including Village Panchayats and Municipal Councils, in a democratic, inclusive and consultative process and 3) re-formulation of the Plan for the people, of the people and by the people with all sincerity. These ideas have been arranged visually in a mobile exhibition of drawings, satellite images and illustrations so as to inform and educate those who are not yet aware of what the Regional Plan means to them.
